👉 11.04.2023: The members of the CESPASWON network represented by the professors at Departments/Faculties of Social Work from seven universities from Central and Eastern Europe (Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Carinthia University, University of Ljubljana, University of Belgrade, University of Zagreb, University of Sarajevo and University of Banja Luka) STRONGLY support the Department of Social Work at Charles University to continue its academic and research work as a constitutive part of the Faculty of Arts. The members of this CEEPUS network are deeply concerned with the intention of the current faculty management at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University to discontinue the accreditation of the study programs that are thought at the Department of Social Work. We are hopeful that this Letter of Support will be “heard” by the current management of the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University and will contribute to reconsidering their position.

👉 Student mobility experiences: ” I am delighted that I had an opportunity to talk in classes with my fellow social work colleagues from Austria about my current work on MA thesis and my home country. For the purposes of marking the International Social Work Day (21.03.2023), social work students and staff gathered together for inspiring presentations dedicated to the social work profession, what are the true roles and values and of social work and what can social workers do to improve the society. Afterwards, we gathered at the central city square, where some of the students and teachers presented performances to us symbolising signifance of giving support and social work. At that place volunteers from the student union were active providing others with food, drinks and various gifts”. (Milan Kešeljević, MA student from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Sarajevo on CEEPUS mobility at the Carinthia University in Austria)
We encourage other social work and social policy students to apply for mobility and enrich their social work/social policy education by adding a regional and international mobility experience in their studies.
